Moulay IdrissThe town of Moulay Idriss, close to the roman ruins of Volubilis, is a holy place. Moulay Idriss I arrived here in 789, starting a new dynasty, and bringing Islam to Morocco. The town was later named for him. His tomb is here, as is the only round minaret in Morocco.
